Audit of AS Skills - Post-production

Post-Production involved a lot of editing work, marketing strategies and company work...

Editing

Using Premier Pro, I edited and combined a lot of our filming in order to create a final product. In using Premier Pro I could explore the use of transition, audio, fade etc...

Premier Pro allowed us to create continuity, having scenes and titles flow fluidly. I explored altering contrast, brightness and sharpness - This allowed our piece to be of the highest quality.
I found the use of Premier Pro quite time consuming as every little detail had to be perfected. Audio had to be cut time and time again with every alter to the clips. This made sure that the titles and clips were always in sync with the 'dips and booms' of the music to ensure highest detail, intensity and quality.

Marketing Strategies

Also during post production I had to began planning marketing strategies, this involved creating Facebook status' and pages and Tweets. These status' and Tweets had to be well thought out in terms of language and aim. For example, as our film is a thriller aged 15+ we would not be making tweets that would appeal to a young audience. I also had to think of strategies for raising awareness of our film. I came up with the idea of 'Tweet to Unlock.' e.g -
"If this tweet achieves 500 Retweets, we will reveal the movie artwork for our upcoming film SCALPEL."

Company Work

With our Opening Title Sequence we had to apply conventions. A hugely important OTS convention includes Production company title, in order to have this title we had to create a production company... My team members did this using PhotoShop. They created a company called 'RnR' which is the initials to both of their names. In creating this our OTS applied to a very important convention and also increased its professional feel.
